Legs drawn up to her chest, a young lady sat up in a tree. The wind was picking up speed, because a storm was scheduled to arrive in close to an hour. The wind tosseled her black hair, leaving it more unkept then it already was, and swirled the edges of her brown pants.
She looked childish, being so high up in a tree at her age, but Acacia did not care what other people thought of her. The trees were so welcoming and quiet. Most would not climb a tree as high as she would; little kids could hardly go anywhere in a tree. While up in a tree, one could look straight ahead and see only flora and fauna, enabling one to imagine that the distractions of civilization did not exist. Well, one could do this in Tokyo Park. It was harder to do this in the other trees around the city.
Acacia sighed and let go of her legs, now stradling on opposites sides of the branch she was sitting on. She was up in a tree, because she was not too eager to see Princess Karin (Lady Selene) or any one else at the moment. She felt so different from the other senshi and even Princess Karin. Acacia had grown up differently, raised as a boy, poor, and not as a princess or as royalty. Like Princess Karin, she no longer had a mother who was alive. However, Acacia felt like she had no parents, for her father had acted only as her teacher. Also, Acacia was nearly seven years older than Princess Karin.
Just a few more minutes and I'll go train or maybe I should go to Ao River to shoot some arrows.

Karin walked into Tokyo park hoping that no one would notice her. Because of her insistence that she didn't want to be the princess, she was almost never around the castle and not many people really knew what she looked like. All the better, she though. Now I just have to hope that no one from the castle will come this way looking for me. She wasn't dressed like a princess either. She was dressed in normal jeans and a black top that was far from the golden color of the Golden Crescent Moon family. This storm also seemed like good luck to her. Now all of her family and tutors were less likely to look for her.
She removed her violin from her case and leaning against the tree, she began to play. It was a sad and haunting melody that seemed to match the melodies of the rising wind. It was one of her favorites. Maybe it would remind everyone that being princess wasn't always a good thing. After all, she was going to die. This year she was receiving increasing pressure to marry soon so that she could have a child and carry on this cursed bloodline. Nothing would make her happier than letting the whole family die off with this generation. Then this stupid conflict would be over with.
However, Karin was being careless. She was standing next to a rift zone, one of the spots of darkness created by the shadows of the asteroid belt. These rift zones were known to breed youma. As the pink haired girl continued to play, a youma rose from the shadows growling in a low voice. She opened her eyes and saw the monster and set her violin down slowly. If she survived this encounter she certainly wouldn't want her violin, one of her only friends, to be smashed to pieces. She stepped slowly away, trying to lure the youma away from her precious interment. Though she couldn't help but think that it was unlikely that she walk away from this alive. Her powers had not yet awakened and she didn't know she was a senshi. Senshi were something rare. They hadn't been since Queen Chibi-Usa and it was only in this generation that their powers were starting to awaken once again...

Acacia's eyed quirked a little to match the curious expression on her face as she looked down over the branch at the ground below her. Oh, it's only Princess Karin. She won't do anything except play that thing. Now unconcerned, Acacia shrugged and leaned back against the tree. She couldn't get down now, or Princess Karin would see her, but that didn't bother her too much. Acacia was eager to train, but she did not get too many moments where she could just relax like this.
When Karin began to play on her violin, Acacia closed her eyes. She did not understand how the violin worked, but she knew that in Princess Karin's hands that it was like gold. The melody was beautiful, but it distrubed her a little. The melody was so sad.
Acacia opened one eye when she could no longer hear the violin music for a little while. What did she stop for? Acacia wondered. She leaned over to look down at Princess Karin and was shocked to see that Princess Karin was no longer under the tree. Her eyes spotted Princess Karin, not far away, backing away from a youma.
"Jupiter Planet Power" She whispered, standing up in the tree. The wind picked up and softly tossed her hair before it blew in a gust of a myriad of flower petals and leaves that surrounded her body. As the wind subsided, her leotard and tiara were revealed. Her hands, formed a small triangle, raised high into the air and her tiara extended its lighting rod. Lightning burst out of the sky and traveled down her hands, leaving behind her gloves. The lightning continued to travel down her body, creating her earrings, necklacke, skirt and high-heeled combat boots.
The storm was starting to roll in fast and the lightning, even after Sailor Jupiter's transformation ended, was not letting up. Thunder rolled off the forming storm clouds. "Jupiter Briar Explosion!" She yelled, jumping down from the tree. She smashed her hand into the ground, forcing thorny flowers to burst out of the ground. A whirlwind shred the thorns off the flowers. Sailor Jupiter flicked her hand in the air and the thorns, powered by the whirlwind, impaled into the youma and pinned it to the ground, hopefully long enough to let Princess Karin escape.
"Run Princess Karin, while it's pinned!" Jupiter yelled, running towards her and the youma. Sailor Jupiter leapt into the air and kicked the youma in the head. She couldn't watch Princess Karin, the youma needed some butt-kicking!

The first thing Karin noticed was that this girl knew her name. "What the hell? How do you know who I am dammit! I've made sure to not flaunt my face around like the rest of that stupid royal family does!" She was then silent and her eyes widened as she realized the person who was saving her was a senshi. "You're a... But you can't be... All of the sailor senshi are dead..." She was speechless. Suddenly the youma turned towards Karin once again and began to strike. Karin had never been one to scream. So she just stood there thinking that it was finally over. This life of hers as a fake princess was finally over. It was then that she began to radiate light which repelled the youma. She gasped and words seemed to come to her mouth without her ever thinking them. "Golden Crescent Power Make Up!" She flashed an even brighter golden color and when this was done she herself wore a senshi fuku and her pink hair had turned gold and was now in the style of the great queen, Chibi-Usa.

Sailor Jupiter could hear Princess Karin yelling at her, but she choose to ignore Princess Karin. She had much more important things on her mind then to explain to an annoyed Princess how she knew that she was Princess Karin, like man-killing youma for example.
Sailor Jupiter leapt backwards away from the youma and landed in a fighting stance with both fists up blocking her chest and neck. She concentrated hard and watched the youma's every movements. Then Sailor Jupiter lashed out with all the speed she could muster, she threw punch after punch at the youma's upper and lower torso. She ranged about seventy or eighty punches per minute.
Looking backwards Sailor Jupiter yelled, "Dammit, run Princess Kari--" Princess Karin had transformed into a senshi! Sailor Jupiter was so shocked at this new piece of information that she left herself wide open to the youma.

"I'm as shocked as you are!" Karin noticed the youma coming towards Sailor Jupiter. Most princesses would have screamed. But then again Karin wasn't most princesses. After all, she didn't even want the throne. She picked up her violin hoping to protect it somehow. Odd that it seemed more important than her life. However as she picked it up she had the urge to rest it on her chin and begin to play.
The tune seemed to be a violent one. Full of war and strife. As she continued her playing got faster and the images of planets began to circle around her. The planets moved faster until they were just a blur and had become nothing more than one large mass of space dust. It was then that the girl whispered something and played one final harsh note as the planets were hurdled towards the youma. Karin lowered her violin, eyes wide. She had no idea what had just come over her, much less whether or not the youma was still alive. It was all too much. She simply couldn't think anymore.

Planets began to whirl around in a mass of space dust, shocking Sailor Jupiter into silence and stillness. Not only was Princess Karin now a senshi, she was making planets appear out of no where! She knew an attack already and she did not even seem to be aware she knew it.
Sailor Jupiter instictively ducked with a shiek of surprise and the planets flew over her and struck the youma. She almost fell onto her rear-end as the youma was blown into smithereens. Pieces of youma littered the immediate area. Her eyes wide, Sailor Jupiter picked a piece of youma out of her hair. Ew. Ew.
"What was that?" She whispered in a bewelidered tone. She looked at the Golden Crescent Guardian and a huge smile began to form on her lips. "That was so cool!" Sailor Jupiter yelled, running up towards the Golden Crescent Guardian.

Karin frowned. She was still alive. This was an unexpected turn of events. And she was a senshi. She was almost unsure which one was more shocking. That was obvious of course. The latter. It was a minute before she noticed Sailor Jupiter crowding around her and it was another minute before she registered the girl's question. "What? I don't know." She sounded somewhat distant, like a wanderer in the desert who could not believe they had been found and had not yet realized their occasion for joy. Perhaps it was all just another dream. Perhaps they would awaken to have all of their hopes dashed. Better not to get their hopes up at all.
And indeed the now golden haired girl didn't see much cause for celebration. So she had not died now. She would die in a few years. Almost all of the women in her family had died before the age of twenty-five. What did it matter if she died at sixteen or eighteen? Eighteen or twenty-two? She didn't see much of a difference really. She was condemned to die. That was all that mattered. She turned to Acacia, her transformation melting away as her hair fell loosely around her shoulders and regained it's natural color. "Why did you try and save me? Do you want money? If it is a reward you are seeking I am sure that you could be well compensated. However, I would much prefer if you didn't tell anyone where I was..." She sighed sounding wist less and knowing this probably wouldn't happen. She would have to go back to the castle with this girl and go before her family. She would explain the girl's bravery and everyone would act like they were concerned about Karin, when really all they cared about was her womb that would continue the family line. She was tired of it all. Tired. Tired. Tired.

Sailor Jupiter was a tad confused about Princess Karin's reaction towards transforming into the Golden Crescent Guardian. Wasn't it supposed to be a cool thing? Why was she so sullen and unconcerned? It had either not sunk in yet and Princess Karin was in shock, or something, or she just did not really care, at least that was what Sailor Jupiter thought.
Sailor Jupiter gasped and threw her hands out in shock and slight disgust that Princess Karin believed that Sailor Jupiter had only saved her for selfish reason, like money. What in the heck would she do with money? She didn't even like sleeping on a bed or in a house! Money couldn't even get you anything useful. It was just like you were bribing someone in order to get ahead in life or get useless luxuries.
"Hello, do you see this uniform I'm wearing?" Sailor Jupiter asked, holding the skirt of her senshi outfit with an agitated and disbeliving look on her face. "You are the frickin' Princess, for crying out loud! It's my job to protect you. And I do not get paid."

Karin sighed. "Do you expect me to believe that your motives are entirely pure? No one ever does something for anyone else if they don't stand to gain something from it. I've seen enough of palace politics to know that. So you can skip all of the denial and just tell me what you want." She set her violin back in its case snapping the clasps shut and picking it up. She then started pacing in front of Acacia. "I really don't know how you knew who I was in the first place. I work hard to remain as anonymous as possible. Though I suppose its my lot in life to be noticed and fawned over and used. And I'd appreciate it if you dropped the princess. Did it ever cross your mind that maybe I didn't want to be a princess? That maybe I didn't want you to save me in the first place?" She glared at the older girl rather defiantly. Karin wasn't used to being polite with people, something driven forward by her constant rebellion. And reinforced by corrupt politics that came with any sort of power.

Sailor Jupiter put her hands on her hips, not shocked, but angered and ready to show it all. "Oh la-de-da, Miss-I-Don't-Want-To-Be-A-Princess is still a spoiled brat who thinks it is all about her." Sailor Jupiter said in a fake high-pitched voice as she flapped her arms about in her impression of a sissy. It didn't matter if Karin did not want to be a Princess or not. Sailor Jupiter still thought that Karin believed the whole world revolved around her prissy spoiled little butt and therefore was perfect Princess material.
Sailor Jupiter stepped towards Karin and stopped toe-to-toe with her. She put her face in front of Karin's and spoke in a low and angered tone. "I do want something. I want you take your spoiled little butt and your ingratitude and get the **** out of my sight." She growled, dropping her transformation.

Karin glared at Acacia sharply. "I do not think it's all about me. I just know how the world works. Everyone wants something. Some want money, some want fame and bloodlines, some want to be anonymous." She shrugged. "Whether you want to admit it or not you want something too. People are inherently selfish. However, if you want to deny this I won't push you to except a reward. I'd rather not go back to the castle." She absolutely hated it there. Everyone had so many ulterior motives and played complicated lying games to hide them. It was better to just be out on the streets. True most people still wanted something out of her, but at least they were honest about it. "And who says I am ungrateful? I just think you'd be hard to find life a gift and something to be grateful for if you were condemned to die as well." She smiled pleasently and rather sarcastically.

"I want you take your spoiled little butt and your ingratitude and get the **** out of my sight." Acacia repeated her words in a gruff tone. She was ready to punch this girl in the face if she didn't take her attitude somewhere else. "I don't want your words, your attitude, or your filthy money. Just get out of my face."
Acacia spat on the ground at Karin's feet, turned, and walked away. She didn't need to take any of this. She had better things to do than listen to a girl's ingratitude or false accusations. Fists bunched up and her eyes scrunched in anger, Acacia bit her lip and tried to calm herself down futilely. She needed to go practice somewhere, punching a tree sounded nice.
